unravelling

This series of abstract pieces in oils originated during the pandemic and are an attempt to express the isolation of this time. The images are ephemeral and indistinct.

I wanted to capture the emotional experience of grief, how painful it is and how it makes what we have feel precious and fleeting.

I am use a limited colour selection of oil paints, this time, saturated cadmium hues, contrasting with dark tones.
